Suldbayar "Sugi" Damdin is the head coach and lead instructor at Chantilly MMA, where he teaches students of all ages. An Olympian judoka from Mongolia, he placed ninth in judo at the 2004 Athens Olympics and at the 2003 World Championship in Osaka, took third at the 2003 Judo World Cup in Astana, the 2003 Asian Championship in Jeju and the 2001 Asian Games, and was a six-time national judo champion of Mongolia between 1998 and 2004 as well as the country's 2003 national sambo champion. He won the Judo World Masters in Miami in 2012. In Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Damdin took second at the IBJJF World Masters at brown belt in 2015, won the IBJJF New York Open at purple belt the same year, and has NAGA gold and silver medals. He has dedicated himself to grappling and mixed martial arts since childhood.
