Travis Anderson is the owner and head instructor of Watermark Jiu Jitsu, with more than 15 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and karate. His jiu-jitsu began by chance: while having breakfast in Westlake he noticed a school across the street, took one class, and was hooked after being controlled by a purple belt. He went on to train at Hurricane Jiu Jitsu in Cleveland and made several trips to Brazil to train, and after years of competing and coaching he opened his own academy. The name Watermark is a nod to his former gym, Hurricane, and to the idea that jiu-jitsu, like a watermark, cannot be faked.
