Vincent Angelo Carlucci
Professor Vincent Carlucci is a Gracie Barra black belt and the founder of Team-Choco. In 2004, after moving from Germany to Naval Base Rota in Spain, he wanted to return to training despite carrying injuries but found no Brazilian jiu-jitsu school within a hundred miles, so he posted flyers at the base gym inviting people to train with him. The group that answered had no prior BJJ experience, but under Carlucci's guidance it became the foundation of Team-Choco, and within a year the team was competing at events such as the Spanish and British Open championships and the European Championships. As members moved on, they carried the team with them; it now has academies in Europe, Africa, Costa Rica and the United States.
