Wagner Mendes Campos

Wagner Campos, known as "Galeto", is the head coach of Galeto Brothers BJJ in Curitiba, one of the city's longest-established Jiu-Jitsu teams, which he founded with his brother William Campos "Galetinho". A 4th degree black belt, he has been a black belt for 19 years and began teaching while still a purple belt, at a time when Jiu-Jitsu in Curitiba was in its early growth. He still competes and has earned podium finishes at the main CBJJ, IBJJF and AJP events. Campos is also a veteran MMA athlete: he fought in the UFC and was a member of the first season of TUF Brasil, the reality show that helped popularise MMA in Brazil. The team welcomes men, women and children, from competitive athletes to students seeking the lifestyle of the sport, and Campos brings a life philosophy centred on the growth of personal virtues.
