Ghost Squad BJJ Team

The Ghost Squad Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Team operates under the Buiu Brazilian Jiu Jitsu organization, serving practitioners across South Florida and the Miami community. The academy system was developed to deliver martial arts instruction rooted in classic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu philosophies and character development. Instruction is led by Owner and Head Instructor Michel Porfirio Pereira, also known as "Buiu," who is a 6th degree IBJJF Black Belt. Professor Buiu is a 2nd generation black belt under Francisco "Toco" Albuquerque and Rodrigo Medeiros from grand Master Carlson Gracie. Carlson Gracie Miami originally opened in 2008 and operates under Head Instructor Jose Pita, who has trained under Professor Buiu since 2009. The organization also expanded its network by establishing Ghost Squad Castle Rock in 2022, which launched an adaptive Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program. Training adheres to traditional martial arts principles and the Bushido Code, supporting individuals of all abilities and disabilities on the mats.
