Raposo BJJ Academy operates at 1000 Caruso Blvd, Suite 245 in Slidell, Louisiana. Established in 2023, the martial arts school provides Brazilian jiu-jitsu training, self-defense coaching, and physical conditioning for children, women, and adults throughout the Slidell community. The academy was founded by head professor Erick Raposo, an IBJJF-certified third-degree black belt who has earned championship titles at the Brazilian Nationals, American Nationals, and IBJJF Open tournaments in both gi and no-gi divisions. Born in Brazil, Professor Raposo directs mat sessions with an emphasis on leverage mechanics, guard passing, submission escapes, and positional control, tailoring instruction to individual athletic goals. The gym structures its timetable into multiple targeted programs. Class offerings encompass adult Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kids jiu-jitsu, women's jiu-jitsu, and dedicated law enforcement training courses.
