Erick Raposo is the founder, owner and head instructor of Raposo BJJ Academy in Slidell, Louisiana, which was established in 2023. Born in Brazil, he is an IBJJF-certified third-degree black belt with a long background in the art. As a competitor Professor Raposo has won super fights and IBJJF Open titles and is an American National and Brazilian National champion in both gi and no-gi. He teaches classes open to all belt levels and has developed black belts of his own, including Professor Stephanie, his first female black belt, who began training with him in 2016.
