The House of Muay Thai: MMA & Performance Center

The House of Muay Thai: MMA & Performance Center operates a training facility at 829 Lynnhaven Parkway, Unit 110, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Originally founded in Norfolk in 2014 by Muay Thai competitor Jake Chamberlain, the academy expanded to provide striking, grappling, and mixed martial arts training across multiple Hampton Roads locations. The Virginia Beach gym is led by head coach Octavian Martin, a national titleholder in amateur Muay Thai who represented Team USA in WKA and WBC competition, alongside manager Hiromi Wilkins. Instruction covers Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, mixed martial arts, submission grappling, and strength and conditioning. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum is overseen by head professor Mackens Semezier, a professional MMA veteran and second-degree black belt under Master Luiz Palhares. Youth martial arts instruction is available for children ages 6 to 13, combining practical Muay Thai striking and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals with bully prevention and character development.
